Minister Vanessa Brown was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina. She accepted Jesus at the age of 12 at an established local church, St. James A.M.E. Zion. Not having a youth choir, she joined the adult choir at 12. She received the Holy Spirit at age 18. Vanessa graduated from Lincolnton High School in North Carolina, in 1994. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Professional English (Arts) from North Carolina A&T State University, in Greensboro, NC, in 1998. And later relocated to Texas in 2006 and received her master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix in 2013.  From 2006 to 2013 she gained a broad knowledge of technical writing and the music industry. Vanessa is the Founder of Stimulation to Success Ministries, a non-profit organization, since 2015. Stimulation to Success Ministries was formed out of the belief that all people can develop and create a healthy and effective life regardless of how difficult or painful their day-to-day pressures, challenges, and struggles. Currently, Minister Brown is a member of The Potter’s House Church, in Dallas, Texas, founded by Bishop T. D. Jakes. She serves in The Bishop’s Choir, under the tutelage of Dr. Valerie Crumpton. As a catalyst to her dream of doing everything ‘Large in God’ and for GOD, Vanessa actively serves God and the Let the Light Shine: A New Gospel Project, as well as Shine the Light Network.
