Tiffany Richards is a writer, blogger, licensed therapist who specializes in trauma, and a child welfare administrator with over twelve years’ experience in family systems. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s in sociology and the University of Dayton with a master’s in clinical counseling. She launched wordsbytiffanyrae.com in July, a personal development blog that provides a forum for women to address common lessons in life and love. Tiffany believes that our primary mission should be to become our best selves and live our best lives. She uses her testimony, professional knowledge, and her passion for writing to provide insightful encouragement. Tiffany strives to help normalize conversations addressing mental health and trauma issues that are prevalent in our society.  When she isn’t writing or working, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her precious three-year-old daughter, Talia, and practicing self-care. Tiffany has loved to write for as long as she can remember; however, her journey as a writer has been interesting. As a child, Tiffany would create her own greeting cards, song lyrics, and short stories. She recited her first original poem at age 12 and won several essays, poetry competitions in her teens. Writing was such a significant part of her life and identity. This was until her early twenties when she had some challenging life experiences that distracted her from her gift for over a decade. Then in 2016, she could feel God urging her to begin writing again. She didn’t understand it, but instantly, her love affair with words was rekindled, and her purpose was revealed. Through it all, she has learned to trust her talent and the timing of her life.
