Leandra McLaurin is a Los Angeles native, born and raised. Ms. McLaurin has always marched to the beat of her own drum and blazed her own trails. She always knew she wanted to help others. Ms. McLaurin graduated from Loyola Marymount University with her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences (formerly known as Natural Science).  She also received her Master of Science in Health Education from Kaplan University. Leandra is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC). Driven by her love for life and service to others, Leandra is currently working for the Black Infant Health Program in the City of Long Beach as a Health Educator. There she facilitates group and case management for prenatal and postpartum women who identify as African-American to provide social support, empowerment, and stress-reducing techniques for them to have a better birth outcome. Along with her work with BIH, Leandra has also started her own Health and Life Coaching business. Her passion is to help women overcome self-esteem and body image issues by helping them love the skin they are in and showing up powerfully in all areas of their lives.
