Jasmine Strange
Jasmine Strange is the author of Uncommon Grace. She was born in Oakland California, raised between California and Illinois. Lover of the Lord, this woman of God touches the hearts of humanity by being yielded to God’s hands to do His mighty works here on earth day in and day out. Teaching the meaning of “TRUE LOVE” is her mission as she gracefully walks the world in purpose, guided by the hand of the Master. She is a single mother of two; Graduate of University of Illinois; Author of the book “Uncommon Grace”, Recording Artist and Songwriter. Her new single “Praisn’ All by Myself” was recently released from her upcoming EP, Spirit. She is an Educator of 20 years and has received teacher of the year awards at two of her teaching location sites. She was also the Vice President of her police academy class. In her former position as a police officer, she received a leadership award awarded to her by the Mayor. Amongst all else, Jasmine has an athletic side to her. She formerly played Women’s Basketball for the University of Illinois- Chicago and was the captain of her squad before becoming the youngest Head Coach in the Midwest collegiate conference. She was Interim Head Coach of NCAA Women’s Basketball team at Loyola University. Jasmine has now taken the direction of public speaking and life coaching. She aspires to inspire the world by not only modeling in photos but by modeling the walk of Christ.
Jasmine is currently under the leadership of Bishop Carl C. Smith Newbirth Church, Pittsburg, California where she sings on the praise team with True Worship under the phenomenal direction of Elder Tim and Minister Dasha Moore. Jasmine has an extensive background of phenomenal leaders. Smokey Norful, Michael V. McKay, James Hamilton, Ron Rosson, Judah, Ernest Dayce, Dr. Gregory Sephus and more. She was the vocal director and praise and worship leader at Seed of Faith and directed the youth choir as well during her stint with the ministry. She has both put on herself and spoken in various music workshops. Her charismatic personality and vocal gifting landed her positions such as vocal director for several plays the latest being the WIZ directed by Clay Davidson at CCC Theatre. Jasmine recently landed a leading vocal spot in the world premiere of Xtigone/African-American Shakespeare Theatre Company written by Nambi E. Kelly/ Directed by Rhodessa Jones.
