Dr. Sandra was born in St. Ann, Jamaica West Indies. She migrated to Queens, New York at a very young age (9), and graduated from Springfield Gardens High School. Dr. Sandra was the recipient of a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Florida International University, Florida via Baruch College, NYC; Master of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Master of Science Degree in Religious Education from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida; a Doctorate degree in Ministry from Seminary, Jacksonville, Florida, and a Doctorate degree in Education with Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution from NSU, as well. Her Doctoral dissertation focus on society’s response to domestic violence. She was a valuable public-school teacher in Miami-Dade County, FL for 19 1/2 years (1988-2007), then relocated to Washington, DC to make a global impact in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she currently is. She is the mother of three magnificent children, and the grandmother of four, Isaiah (deceased), Jayla-11, Nazian-5, and Jayce-2 months old. Dr. Sandra is a fantastic woman on the move, confident, friendly, and favored by the Lord. She is one who will rally support and is a builder—always establishing strong, resourceful working relationships. She is a woman of rare, outstanding talent and beauty, knowledgeable, articulate, and focused. Dr. Sandra is a true leader, dedicated to improving every organization that she is associated with. Dr. Sandra engages enthusiastically in ventures that create a difference in the world, such as previously being a qualified candidate for City Commissioner. To top it off, Dr. Sandra recently formed her own non-profit organization Successful Reintegrations—a re-entry program for ex-offenders returning to the society. She additionally facilitates anger management/domestic violence groups in Virginia. Dr. Sandra’s life goal is to utilize her passion for the least, the lost and the left out, and to facilitate change in the development of a lifestyle of increased value.
