Alexandria Cunningham was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and raised in Northport, Alabama, where she lived until the summer of 2010. She moved to Livingston, Alabama to further her education at the University of West Alabama. In 2015, she received a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies and received her master’s degree in education in May of 2018. As a child, she attended wonderful schools from kindergarten through high school. Tuscaloosa County High School professed a strong educational and ethical philosophy that has remained with her throughout her teaching. It is the foundation, along with the continued support of her family, educators, and friends that has allowed her to embrace her dream of teaching children. Through her collegiate years, she took on many clubs, organizations, and jobs. With each new club, organization or job, she learned time management, leadership skills, and visited many places. While in Livingston, she met the man that she would later marry. In 2016, Kirstan and A.J. married in Calera, Alabama, with a full attendance by family and friends. A.J. is a Pre-K Teacher and serves in the children’s ministry at her church. She believes with the wonderful support of her loved ones and colleagues; she will become a teacher who young children look up to, someone children can trust, who will always ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure their success.
